Good afternoon,

I thought that today would be a day with a different angle.

I realized last night when a new follower emailed me, that I never properly introduced myself.

I live in Arlington, Vermont now for 4 years. When we had exhausted all possibilities of finding a home here, I jokingly flipped the page in the real estate listings and said "here it is, let's buy this one". Well, my husband being a jack of all trades, said let's look at it. Needless to say, 4 months later, we were the proud owners of a HUD foreclosed home. I love the layout, the yard and of course the area. I camped here in my younger years with my family.

After living in the Northeast Kingdom for 13 years on a class 4 road, this was a dream. I am the impatient type and want all my projects done NOW, but anyone that visits, comes to see me and eat my desserts, not my unfinished home...lol.

Well, its been a project and will continue to be, but we are happy here.

I grew up in Columbia County, attended Ockawamick School and later Taconic Hills after they merged with Roeliff Jansen in Hillsdale, NY.

I won the Betty Crocker award in school that came with a group of classes at Culinary Institute in Hyde Park. I love to cook and bake. I attended MGMA classes for 2 years for the medical/business end of my career.

I married Bob Barber, a Hudson boy in 1976, had 2 daughters and now have a wonderful son in law and two GREAT grandchildren, 15 and 17.

I worked several places over the years, Kozels, Yorkshire Farms Restaurant, Child's Hospital, Samaritan Hospital, Donor Procurement Department(after our daughter Aimee passed away, as a donor mom) Medical Data Systems, Eye doctor, and helped cater functions...plus DJ with my husband. I also graduated from Disney's College of Knowledge. Yes I am a true Disniac.

After being diagnosed with MS and Rheumatoid Arthritis, I decided to broaden my horizon to a passion of mine, Travel Advisor. I was very fortunate that I could work from home on the bad days but do something I loved. They say if you love what you do, you don't work a day in your life.

I work for Global Link Travel/Vacations By Beth in Bennington Vermont. We are like family and I couldn't be happier. Of course, right now there seems to be a challenge, being quarantined at home because of the virus...but we are never given any more than we can handle. I know that this too will pass and make us stronger.

My family is most important along with my health. I love Travel and love to make your dreams come true. I look forward to getting through this and having many more years of amazing experiences with my clients...and new ones too.

Today I made a new recipe and would like to share it with you. It came out beautiful and is delicious!

Stay healthy and safe...enjoy your weekend!
